Averatec 1050 Review
A while back I had the opportunity to try out the Averatec 1050, and now BIOS has up their review.
Colourful and light as a feather at only 1.6kg (266×205x45mm), Averatec’s 1050 (£949) sets new standards among the ultra-mobile laptop. In fact, we’re pretty sure that it’s impossible to find the design as well as the features in this price category from other manufacturers. Sporting a dark burgundy lid, the keyboard and interior come in pure white. Whether or not this colouring will suit depends entirely on your personal taste - we didn’t like it because we felt the white gave the laptop a low-cost and almost childish appearance (it ain’t no Sony - Ed!).
Some of the things they liked include its size, keyboard and Wi-Fi, but they did not like the design, lack of Bluetooth or Web Camera. The Averatec 1050 manages to earn a six point five out of ten.
