Apple Bumps Specifications

AppleInsider is reporting that a new white version is gaining exposure over the much liked black version. The new white version has a processor upgrade over the current 1.83GHz MacBook, bringing it to 2GHz. You have to get a 1GB RAM and an 80GB hard drive for $1449 USD, but the processor works out to be a free upgrade, which makes it a pretty good deal.

Apple is still trying to keep its margins higher on the black version though, as the “MacBook Ultimate”, a 2GHz black MacBook with 1GB of RAM rather than the stock 512MB, for another $100, making it come to $1599 USD.
