Dell Inspiron 710m Review
Laptop Magazine reviews the Dell Inspiron 710m, a small widescreen machine.
The Dell Inspiron 710m measures a compact 11.7 x 8.5 x 1.5 inches, but it offers snappy performance behind its 2-GHz Pentium M 755 processor, which is complemented by 512MB of memory and a 5,400-rpm 80GB hard drive. As a result, the 710m is recommended for those always on the go who refuse to sacrifice power in the quest for a thin-and-light notebook.
The 710m’s 12.1-inch screen is a widescreen model with a glossy finish that makes colors more vivid. We found this notebook to be the perfect mobile DVD player.
The final score for the Inspiron 710m was a three and a half out of five due to the slightly cramped keyboard and the tinny sounding speakers. With its five hour battery (using the 8 cell), you can get a fair bit of work done, and with a reduction of only around ten minutes turning on the wireless internet connection, you are still good to go.
