Fujitsu LifeBook S2020

Fujitsu LifeBook S2020The Fujitsu LifeBook S2020 is made for business users looking to take their office on the road. This 4.3-pound system isn’t very fast, but it’s fine for everyday applications like e-mail, Web surfing, and word processing.

The optical drive fits into a modular bay that can hold an extended-life battery. Put in the included Weight Saver accessory, which is a fancy name for the plastic placeholder, and you will cut the weight down to 3.9 pounds.

The S2020 includes two USB 2.0, FireWire, Ethernet, and a modem, all located on the back of the system. The 13.3-inch display is said to be a little darker than most in this price range and has narrow viewing angles which counts as a big point against this machine.

The LifeBook S2020 redeemed itself somewhat in the endurance department, lasting nearly three hours on a charge. Some may prefer a Centrino-based system for more power and longer battery life, but if you’re looking to save a little money, this AMD-powered system could satisfy.

The current price is around $1,799 USD.
