HP Pavilion dv1000t Review

HP Pavilion dv1000tA quick review from Laptop Magazine on the HP Pavilion dv1000t, an all around performer that just fits into the thin and light category.

HP has updated one of our favorite thin-and-light notebooks by doing a lot more than adding a “t” to the end of the name. The dv1000t sports a 2-GHz Core Duo processor, 1GB of RAM, and a speedy 5,400-rpm 100GB hard drive. The good news is that even with all of this added power, this 5.4-pound notebook offers even more battery life than its predecessor.

The machine ends up lasting for four and a half hours with the wireless turned off, and partly because of that the machine earned a four out of five in their rating scale. The things that knocked it down a star are the fuzzy webcam, files must be in Shared Documents folder for QuickPlay access, and the lack of a PC Card slot.
