802.11n Compatible WiFi Laptop

TrustedReviews has details on what could be considered the first 802.11n compatible laptop, but what does that mean?

Asus, in conjunction with Airgo, has announced the first laptop that will take advantage of all the Draft 802.11n spec routers we’ve seen doing the rounds lately. The A6T features an integrated Airgo True MIMO card which the companies claim will provide a theoretical data throughput of almost 240Mbps and a consistent stream at 120Mbps - that’s faster than a wired 10/100 Ethernet connection! Furthermore, it will be backwards compatible will previous 802.11g and 802.11b equipment.

I don’t like this one bit. I know there are early adopters that companies are trying to tap into, but the fact that people are buying products that may not work with technology created later on once the final standard is approved really bugs me as a long time computer technician.
