Alienware Readies AMD Turion 64 SLI Laptops

BIOS Magazine has some information pertaining to Alienware releasing some SLI laptops of its own.

Alienware will release two new powerful AMD-based laptop featuring nVidia’s SLI technology during Q2 2006.

Alienware’s newest desktop replacements are powered by dual nVidia GeForce graphics cards and the latest AMD Turion 64 mobile technology, serving as the ultimate desktop replacement systems for mobile gamers and creative professionals.

‘With gaming laptops like the Alienware systems pushing the envelope with extreme HD resolutions, gamers need more graphics processing power so they can crank up their 3D quality settings. SLI delivers that power - creating high-performance, HD notebooks for gamers on the go,’ said Jeff Fisher, senior vice president of the GPU business unit at nVidia.

It will be interesting to see how these higher end notebooks perform under real world tests.
