NEC Versa E3100
Releasing a laptop for road warriors that don’t want to make hundreds of compromises for decent performance and light weight, the Versa E3100 is perfect as one of the lightest 14-inch screen notebooks in its class.
BIOS Magazine takes a quick look at it, and highlights some of its features.
Weighing in at only 2.2kg with an integrated optical disk drive and battery, NEC says the Versa E3100 is the lightest 14-inch widescreen machine in its class.
It is powered by the latest Intel Pentium M Processor and features DDR2 dual-channel memory. The Versa E3100 is housed in a Solitaire Blue casing, complemented with an elegant silver keyboard, giving it a cool and stylish appeal.
The 14-inch Super Shine View widescreen LCD display has a resolution of 1280×768 pixels (WXGA), which is well suited to watching DVD movies as well as browsing the Internet.
One of the things I like about this machine is its 4 hour battery life, making it just a little above average compared to others in its class.
