Sony VAIO VGN-FE570G Review
Laptop Magazine has reviewed a new VAIO from Sony, the VGN-FE570G, a new FE Series with a 15.4 inch LCD.
Boasting one of the brightest 15.4-inch displays we have seen and a slick light-gray-and-black design, the Sony VAIO FE Series is one of the most stylish midsize entertainment notebooks of the year. With Media Center running the show, a decent audio system, and a sharp integrated webcam, this notebook has a lot going for it. We only wish it were faster and offered more memory card slots.
Weighing 6.2 pounds and measuring 1.4 inches at its thickest point, the VGN-FE570G is designed primarily for home use but is light enough to take on the road occasionally. Just keep in mind that the power brick is a hefty pound.
It has some great features behind it including a bright screen, Media Center operating system, integrated webcam and microphone, and good battery life. For its negatives, they list that it only has a Memory Stick slot, as well as narrow touchpad buttons. The Sony VAIO VGN-FE570G manages to earn itself a three and a half out of five.
