Sharp M 4000 WideNote
Sharp has introduced their lightest and brightest wide-screen notebook, the Sharp M 4000 WideNote. It features the Intel Pentium M Processor 740 (1.73 GHz with 2MB of Level 2 cache) and an 80 GB hard drive and offers 6 hours of battery life in a 3.7 pound frame.
It also sports a 13.3-inch WXGA wide-screen LCD that they say offers brightness and clarity of a desktop monitor.
Some other included items are a built-in optical drive (CD-RW/DVD-ROM), Secure Digital (SD) memory card support, a Type II PC Card slot (PCMCIA) and 2 USB 2.0 connections, as well as a V.92 modem and an Ethernet jack.
Sharp will ship it for US $1,799.99 later this month.
