Toshiba Satellite M100
With everyone going towards Intel Core Duo processors, it is not surprising anymore when another one joins the pack, and so Toshiba has announced the Satellite M100, a Core Duo or Core Solo product.
To keep weight and costs down, the Satellite M100 has a 14.1″ WXGA scren, which I think is reasonable for anyone that wants to take their laptop on the go. Memory options start at 256MB and can go as high as 2GB.
Hard drive capacities start from 40GB and runs all the way to 120GB, each one running at what is considered the new standard of 5400 rpm.
Recommended upgrades from the base integrated Intel 950 graphics accelerator is the ATI Radeon X1300 or X1400 which has 64MB and 128MB respectively.
Toshiba notebooks are not always known to be affordable, but the M100 starts at $1,034 US, which is really nice.
